Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur has emphasized that maintaining a low-key, minimally controversial profile has become a defining strength of his leadership at the top of the Ferrari Racing Division. Unlike Red Bull, Mercedes, McLaren, and other teams, who have frequently engaged in public disputes and stirred debate over contentious issues throughout the 2024 Formula 1 season, Ferrari has taken a noticeably reserved stance.

The French manager pointed to Ferrari's decision to steer clear of recent controversies as a strategic choice, including abstaining from the heated discussions surrounding Red Bull's claims that McLaren might be using water or moisture to cool its tires illegally. By sidestepping these debates, Frederic Vasseur believes the Italian side can focus more intensely on performance and long-term goals, reinforcing the team's steadiness and commitment to its own agenda amidst the often turbulent world of Formula 1.

"I don't know where the accusations come from," the Ferrari team boss explained – "but I won't dwell on this subject, because it's one of the team's strengths this year to stay away from all the controversies.” When asked about the technical specifics of the allegations, he French manager continued: "I don't really understand the theory because I think we're all trying to remove moisture from everywhere, not add something to the tyres."

While the 2024 Formula 1 campaign has largely centered on the intense title battle between Red Bull and McLaren, Scuderia Ferrari has been making a stealthy yet powerful push toward the top. Though it hasn't captured the spotlight in the same way, the Maranello team has been closing the gap and now stands as a formidable challenger, quietly positioning itself to potentially outpace all rivals in the race for the constructors’ title, with three races until the end of the championship.

"Overall, the last races have gone well," Fred Vasseur agrees. "We are the team that has collected the most points in the last three, and that is very significant. In Las Vegas we know that we will have a better pace than we did at Interlagos, and we will have to score a lot of points. It will be the same in Abu Dhabi. I expect a good fight between the top four teams.” – he pointed out.

At the same time, the French manager also confirmed that there will be no more updates for he SF-24 single-seater as the key focus in now directed to the 2025 F1 project: "Nothing more to come," – the Ferrari team boss concluded when questioned about whether fresh upgrades are in store for the final three rounds of the season – “We have been focusing on next year's project for months now."
