The paths of Scuderia Ferrari and Carlos Sainz will part at the end of this year, but according to Frederic Vasseur, there could be a “reunion” in the future. Although the Prancing Horse has opted for Lewis Hamilton over the Spanish driver, the team principal of the Scuderia revealed that if the opportunity arose, he would immediately bring the Spanish driver back.

Fred Vasseur’s comments

As reported by racefans, in an interview Frederic Vasseur said: “Honestly, I have enormous respect for Carlos and for what he has done for Ferrari. As you know, this decision wasn't easy. But he is doing an excellent job. He has managed to remain professional in these difficult conditions.” – the French manager pointed out.

“I can see perfectly what he is bringing to the team and what he already brought to the team last year when we had a tough time in the summer, and I'm more than happy to have him on the team. I will maintain a great relationship with him." – Fred Vasseur added.

According to the Frenchman, this could therefore be just a temporary goodbye for Carlos Sainz with the Maranello team. We will have to wait and see if in a few years the Spanish driver will return to drive a Ferrari in Formula 1.
