Ferrari’s team principal spoke about the goal of further improving the team.
An important season
Frederic Vasseur has begun his third season as Ferrari’s team principal, taking on the challenging role of leading the most prestigious team in Formula 1. Under his management, the Scuderia has achieved 6 victories and 11 pole positions, along with a third and a second place finish in the constructors’ championship.
Of course, when it comes to Ferrari, simply participating is not enough. Everyone who wears the Prancing Horse emblem knows that the only goal is to bring world titles back to Maranello—the drivers’ title has been missing since 2007 and the constructors’ since 2008. Key dates in the season are approaching, with the SF-25 livery set to be unveiled on February 18, followed by its shakedown at Fiorano the next day. The big novelty for Ferrari fans this year is Lewis Hamilton, a driver who certainly needs no introduction.
“Pressure? No, enthusiasm”
In an interview with the Dutch outlet Formule1, Frederic Vasseur did not rule out new additions to the team’s technical staff: “There are always changes to make; it’s part of the DNA of our sport. You always want to improve and progress. Personally, I always have many ideas on what and where to improve. We are also looking at new people to hire because that is the right approach. This is the motivation I always want to have—it’s the key to improving performance.” – the Frenchman pointed out.
Fred Vasseur also shared his thoughts on the strong support surrounding the team: “What surprised me is that I was told about great pressure, but what I see around me and us is great enthusiasm. People are very positive and very supportive. They want to encourage and help us; they always have kind words for us. For example, at Monza, some people brought us flowers, which I found very moving. For me, the fans are a great source of motivation.” – the Ferrari team principal concluded.
