The Lewis effect. That's how the first weeks of Lewis Hamilton as a Ferrari driver could be summed up, with the 2025 merchandise selling out just days after its launch.
It took only 48 hours to overwhelm the Maranello team’s online store. On Tuesday, Ferrari presented its new collection of polo shirts and caps, sending fans into a frenzy.
The new design was immediately well received by Scuderia Ferrari supporters, who appreciated both the shade of red (which will also be seen on the SF-25) and certain details, such as the inclusion of lighter lines.
The Lewis Hamilton effect is already making an impact
Despite the steep prices—€45 for a cap and €110 for a polo—sales skyrocketed so dramatically that the online store struggled to keep up. Checking Ferrari's official website, it's clear that the 2025 merchandise linked to Lewis Hamilton is already sold out.
In addition to the polo, which is currently unavailable, the cap featuring the number 44 is also out of stock. Some units of Charles Leclerc's cap are still available, while fans eagerly await the release of t-shirts and hoodies.
The Lewis Hamilton effect is already bearing fruit even before the season begins—a situation reminiscent of Juventus' experience with Cristiano Ronaldo, the other “signing of the century” for the Agnelli-Elkann family. In that case, it took only minutes for a complete sell-out, as fans rushed to secure a jersey with the iconic number 7.
