How Ferrari pit wall expands: here are the new additions wanted by Fred Vasseur

At the dawn of the 2025 Formula 1 season, during testing in Bahrain, it is noticeable that the changes at Ferrari are not limited to just the car and the driver lineup. In fact, in front of the Ferrari garage, one can spot an “expanded” pit wall compared to the previous season, with two additional members.
In 2024, the pit wall was occupied by 6 people, from left to right:
Bryan Bozzi, Leclerc’s track engineer
Diego Ioverno, sporting director
Frederic Vasseur, team principal
Matteo Togninalli, head of track engineers
Ravin Jain, head of strategies
Riccardo Adami, Sainz’s track engineer
However, during the 2025 Bahrain tests, two new members can be seen added to Ferrari’s pit wall, specifically between Jain’s and Adami’s stations:
Jerome D’Ambrosio, deputy team principal
Loic Serra, technical director
Both are significant “market moves” by Fred Vasseur’s management, occupying top positions within the team. However, it has not yet been stated whether this setup is an exception for testing or will be maintained throughout the season. If this is the case, Ferrari would once again have a technical director at the pit wall after years, since the previous one, Simone Resta, preferred a more backline position. Fred Vasseur’s Ferrari is increasingly taking shape.
