Is heat a problem for F1? FIA has found a solution

In the latest meeting of the F1 Commission, the FIA found a solution to address the issue of heat affecting the drivers.
The images of what happened in Qatar in 2023, with drivers forced to retire due to extreme weather conditions, remain vivid in everyone's minds and sparked extensive debate. For this reason, during the latest F1 Commission meeting, the FIA confirmed it has found a solution to address the heat problem faced by the drivers.
The decision comes just weeks before the Losail weekend. The Circus will return to the Qatari circuit right after the Las Vegas Grand Prix in what will be the penultimate round of the season. The presence of the Sprint format will once again force drivers to push hard from the outset, and the weather conditions could again pose a challenge.
A solution to combat the heat arrives
For this reason, the FIA sought a solution to help F1 drivers overcome the heat issue. Specifically, according to the report published after the latest Formula 1 Commission meeting, a cooling kit will be introduced in 2025. This solution can be used when heat reaches levels deemed excessive based on specific tests.
The statement does not specify what this kit will consist of. Most likely, it will be something similar to what we have already seen on the track in recent seasons. During weekends with the highest temperatures, cooling vests worn by drivers under their suits are often noticeable.
It will be interesting to see the solution implemented by the Federation to prevent a repeat of last year's events.
