Ferrari’s 2024 Formula 1 season has been characterized (so far) by three wins, two more than last year. In addition to Charles Leclerc’s victories at the Monza circuit and on the streets of Monte Carlo in Monaco, Frederic Vasseur’s team also claimed the top spot on the podium at the Albert Park circuit in Australia with Carlos Sainz.

The season is still long, and Ferrari hopes, thanks in part to the latest updates introduced, to achieve further successes before Abu Dhabi. The fight for the Constructors’ Championship is still very much open, with the top teams all having the opportunity to close the gap with a Red Bull that is still facing considerable difficulties.

Is it more rewarding to win at Monza or Monaco?
Obviously, each victory is different from the others, as confirmed by Ferrari’s Team Principal at the end of the event in Monza. Speaking about Charles Leclerc’s two wins, Frederic Vasseur explained the differences between the two races. “I think it’s much more difficult to win in a situation like this compared to Monaco. In that case, Charles Leclerc started from pole and maintained the position from the first lap. Here he had to fight, he had to win the race.” – the French manager pointed out.

“We pushed the tires to the maximum; it was a difficult race. I think in situations like these, where you’re not sure you’re the fastest of the weekend, you experience different sensations. I would say it’s a greater recognition for the driver compared to when you start from pole,” Frederic Vasseur concluded at the end of the Italian Grand Prix.
