The Great Anticipation
Ferrari fans are counting down the hours until the seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, takes the wheel of a red car for the first time. The union between the most successful driver and the most iconic team in Formula 1 history is a story that captures the imagination. However, the happy ending is yet to be earned. While it can already be said that Ferrari has won on a marketing level, the partnership still needs to prove itself on the track.
Undoubtedly, the impact of a potential eighth career title for Lewis Hamilton, achieved behind the wheel of a car from Maranello, would be monumental. According to former driver Jean Alesi—who remains a beloved figure among Ferrari fans despite being part of some of the team’s most challenging seasons—winning a championship with Ferrari would make Lewis Hamilton "a hero forever."
Jean Alesi’s Prediction
"He has nothing left to prove with another team," Jean Alesi said, referring to Lewis Hamilton's career during an interview with the Dutch website *F1 Maximaal*. "But driving for Ferrari could change his life, even though his life is already that of a champion of champions. Winning with Ferrari would make him a hero forever."
On the path to a potential World Championship victory, Lewis Hamilton's first rival would undoubtedly be his teammate, Charles Leclerc.
"Who will come out on top between the two? It's hard to predict," the Frenchman admitted. "Hamilton is excellent at managing tires and reading traffic. We can say he has experience, but I don't think it's just a matter of experience. He has a unique feel for the car and is incredibly strong in terms of race pace. Charles, on the other hand, is very strong in qualifying, and of course, starting position on the grid is always crucial. It will be fascinating to see how things unfold between these two," Jean Alesi concluded.
