Lando Norris admits Ferrari is "clearly faster" in Las Vegas
Today at 05:54 AM
Ferrari has proven to be more competitive than McLaren at Las Vegas, a prediction that was confirmed during qualifying. As a result, Lando Norris is preparing for a race where damage control will be key, following a challenging Q3 for the papaya duo.
The two Woking drivers will not start from the front rows, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, the standard-bearers for the championship-leading team, set to begin the race behind their rivals in red. Ferrari, with a strong P2-P4 result, has established itself as a serious threat.
Lando Norris Focused on the Championship: "Minimizing the Damage"
After completing the formation lap under the evening lights, Lando Norris will await the start from sixth place on the grid. The British driver is trying to downplay the significance of the qualifying outcome, stating, "This result doesn't mean much for now; it was just qualifying!"
However, the single-lap performance clearly signals that Ferrari is ready to push hard for the championship. With the Constructors' title more open than ever, Lando Norris isn't counting on an easy recovery. "Both Ferraris will start ahead of us, so we'll need to try to beat them or, at the very least, minimize the damage in terms of the points they could gain on us in the championship."
Las Vegas on the Defensive: "Ferrari Clearly Faster"
For the 1999-born British driver, the Las Vegas weekend's script seems clear. Ferrari starts ahead in the race and is considered the favorite. "It's obvious that this weekend Ferrari is much faster than us, so we'll see. It will certainly be a big challenge for us."
The two historic teams are battling near the top of the Constructors' Championship standings. McLaren currently leads, holding a slim 36-point advantage over Ferrari with three races remaining in the season.
