The first contact
As we reported, today, Monday, January 20, marked the beginning of Lewis Hamilton’s adventure with Ferrari. The English champion arrived early at the headquarters of the Prancing Horse, later moving to the square at the Fiorano track, where he met team principal Frederic Vasseur and CEO Benedetto Vigna. After the customary photo session – including the now-iconic shot with the F40 – Lewis Hamilton had a full immersion into the Ferrari world. This included a visit to the historic office of founder Enzo Ferrari, a meeting with Piero, the founder’s son, and a tour of the various departments within the factory.
There was even room for his first words in Italian, such as “Buongiorno” and “Come stai?” directed at fans, whom he approached later in the morning, along with the inevitable “Forza Ferrari!” Present during the day was also chairman John Elkann, who warmly embraced Lewis Hamilton and spent time with him before posing together for some photographs.

In the evening, Lewis Hamilton shared a post expressing his gratitude during his first official introduction to Ferrari: “I am grateful to John Elkann, Benedetto Vigna, and Fred Vasseur for their trust in me and for making me part of this family. I am thrilled to begin this new era and to meet and work with an incredibly talented and inspiring group of people who have warmly welcomed me. I am determined to give everything I have to achieve results for the team, the entire organization, and the fans.”
