When Lewis Hamilton first set foot in Maranello's headquarters, he made headlines not only for his record-breaking photo in front of Enzo Ferrari's house but also for the bond he immediately sought to build with every team member. The seven-time world champion introduced himself with humility, shaking hands with everyone as if to place himself on the same level as those who are not used to being in the media spotlight.
Hamilton's attitude was well received and won over the team, but it certainly didn't surprise Jérôme D'Ambrosio. The Belgian, deputy to team principal Frédéric Vasseur, knows Sir Lewis well, having arrived from Mercedes in 2024, and is aware that one of his key traits is involving the entire team in pursuit of the World Championship goal.

“I'd rather avoid making comparisons between Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes and Hamilton at Ferrari. I think things are going very well so far—I see a Lewis who is extremely happy to be part of the team and highly motivated by this new challenge,” said Jérôme D'Ambrosio in a press conference. “It's fantastic, and we can't wait to hit the track in Bahrain because, in the end, that's where everything truly begins. We've already done a lot, but of course, this will be the most exciting part as we start the season.” – the Belgian pointed out.
“Lewis shook hands with 1,500 people on his first day. He made a real effort to meet everyone—there were so many people and very little time,” he continued. “He doesn't need any help integrating into a team.
