Formula 1 won't return to the track until the weekend of October 20 for the United States Grand Prix, and the month-long break offers drivers a chance for a few extra vacation days compared to the usual calendar. Or to find some free time to pursue other passions. This is the case for Max Verstappen, who spent the week engaged in an intense GT3 car testing session.

The test was recounted by the three-time F1 world champion himself, who shared a gallery of photos from the day on his social media. The tests took place at the Mugello circuit under rainy or partially wet conditions, with the Dutch driver representing his Verstappen.com Racing team. This is the team founded by Max Verstappen himself, competing in both real-world and virtual racing (the latter in collaboration with Team Redline).

Ferrari, Audi, and Aston Martin
In the photos published on Instagram, along with the 27-year-old, you can spot his father Jos—who races with the family team in the Belgian Rally Championship—and Max's friend, Thierry Vermeulen. The young Dutch driver is the son of Verstappen's manager, Raymond Vermeulen, and competes in the DTM championship, also with Max's team. Among the cars on the track were the Audi R8, Aston Martin Vantage, and the Ferrari 296 GT3, the car Vermeulen currently uses in the DTM.
