Spa-Francorchamps bans alcohol and fireworks for 2022 F1 Belgian GP

Spa-Francorchamps imposes ten rules for the fans who want to attent the Belgian Grand Prix during the weekend of 26-28 August, when Formula 1 returns from the summer holidays. And the Spa-Francorchamps organizers did it in a nice way, through social media and without recalling any sacred text. Among the ten rules imposed, there is also the ban on bringing cigarettes, alcohol or glass on the track.

Here are the rules that the organizers reminded the fans:

Have respect for everyone! No glassNo smoke bombsNo weaponsNo alcoholBikes are not allowed inside the circuit, park yours at the entrance to Blanchimont! No petsNo barbecueNo dronesDon’t steal the signs

The issue linked to smoke bombs and alcohol had caused discussion during the Austrian Grand Prix, where Dutch fans were accused of homophobic discrimination and racist insults. After the disappointing outcome of the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix due to the weather conditions and the questionable management of compensation for fans, the Spa-Francorchamps event cannot afford further controversy, also because its future in Formula 1 is on the line.
