Toto Wolff is confident about Ferrari after the Mexican Grand Prix practice sessions on Friday, seeing the Constructors’ title as attainable for the Maranello team. Once again, the Prancing Horse's car has proven to be among the fastest on track. Following the Circuit of The Americas, further evidence supports the strength of their post-summer break design, especially on a seemingly favorable track.

Friday's sessions in Mexico City set a solid tone not only for the rest of the race weekend but beyond. In Free Practice 1, two of the most anticipated rookies for 2025 took to the track: Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Oliver Bearman. While Ollie Bearman's session ended prematurely due to an unfortunate incident with Alexander Albon, the Italian driver delivered strong performance.

Toto Wolff highlighted this as well, despite Mercedes facing a challenging weekend. The Brackley team had to contend first with the debris hit by rookie Antonelli and then with George Russell's heavy crash into the barriers, which severely damaged the W15. The Austrian team principal remains confident in his team while also acknowledging the work done by their rivals.

Commenting on the championship battle on Sky Sport F1, Toto Wolff was direct: "Max [Verstappen] has a big lead, and it will be very hard for Lando [Norris] to win the Drivers' Championship. But as for the Constructors' title, Ferrari is still in the game: if they keep performing as they did in the last two races, they can win the title." – the Mercedes team principal pointed out at the end of the second free practice session for the Mexican Grand Prix at the 4.304-kilometre Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City.

He also praised Andrea Kimi Antonelli's performance. The young Mercedes talent drove more cautiously after his crash during Monza practice, aiming to protect the car's floor. Although the debris impact slightly hindered his performance, Toto Wolff expressed particular satisfaction.
