Tarran Mackenzie completed a two-day World Superbike test at Jerez after the 2024 World Superbike finale.

After the final round of the 2024 World Superbike Championship, the Petronas MIE Racing Honda Team stayed at Jerez.

Tarran Mackenzie was the lone Petronas MIE Racing Honda rider at the Jerez World Superbike test. Across the two-day test at Jerez Mackenzie continued to collect further data after the Spanish World Superbike round.

The former British Superbike Champion was on track on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mackenzie was able to test different setups and various solutions. He also tested new updates and compared and contrasted these with what has been used on his CBR1000RR-R machine.

Mackenzie completed around 150 laps at Jerez over the two days and collected more precious information. The team and rider deemed the test very useful ahead of the winter break.

After two days of Jerez testing, Mackenzie said: "Today we went back to the base setting we'd been using yesterday morning and did a run this morning that felt better. Then we completed another longer run this afternoon and I had a much better pace than I'd had over the race weekend so that was a nice step forward.

"We tried a few electronics things that helped a bit too, and I think the team can continue to make some improvements to the whole package over the winter. I was already happy yesterday, but we definitely made a step today. So a constructive test, and that's me done until January next year."

Mackenzie's 2025 plans are yet to be announced, with rumours stating he could return to British Superbikes next season.

The Petronas MIE Racing Honda Team also stated: 'The PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team has now completed its track activities for 2024, with its next test sessions scheduled for January 2025. The team will also confirm its plans and full line-up for the 2025 racing season in due course.'
