Aragon WorldSBK, Superpole Race Results | Bautista returns to winning ways, Razgatlioglu is back on the rostrum

Two-time World Superbike Champion, Alvaro Bautista, returned to winning ways at MotorLand Aragon.

Alvaro Bautista returns to winning ways as he wins the Superpole Race at his home round of Aragon. The Spaniard has not won since Assen earlier this season, but the #1 is finally back in first once again.

Toprak Razgatliolgu is back on the podium for the first time since suffering major injuries at Magny-Cours. The Turkish rider battled hard with Bautista for the win but the BMW ended up crossing the line in second.

After failing to score a point yesterday Nicolo Bulega stood on the podium on Sunday morning. The Italian rider finished third in the Superpole Race after losing out in a battle with Bautista and Razgatliolgu.

Andrea Iannone won the opening race of the weekend on Saturday but had to settle for fourth in the Superpole Race. The Italian rider could not match the pace of the front three but scored more strong points.

Completing the top five was Garrett Gerloff in fifth place on the Bonovo BMW. The American rider stood on the podium on Saturday, but like Iannone could not match the pace of the front three.

Just outside the top five was Danilo Petrucci in sixth place on the Barni Spark Racing Ducati. In seventh place was the top Honda of Iker Lecuona.

Michael van der Mark was the third BMW rider inside the points as he finished in eighth place, with Xavi Vierge rounding out the points in ninth.

There were no British riders inside the points in the Superpole Race on Sunday morning. Scott Redding finished in tenth, Jonathan Rea finished in 12th, Bradley Ray was 16th, Tarran Mackenzie finished in 19th and Alex Lowes crashed out of the race.
