Garrett Gerloff will be back on his Kawasaki ZX-10RR at the Portimao World Superbike Round after a month's break.

After missing out on the Portimao Test, Garrett Gerloff will be back on his Kawasaki ZX-10RR for the first time since the Australian World Superbike Round.

The American had a disappointing weekend at Phillip Island when he failed to finish the first two races and ended the weekend in 13th place.

In between the opening race weekend and the second round of the season, the majority of the paddock participated in a two-day test at Portimao. However, Gerloff was absent from the test and looks to be on the back foot for Round Two.

Gerloff will take the time to analyse the data he collected at Phillip Island to be more competitive at Portimao this weekend.

"The long break is finally over and I'm happy to get back on my Ninja," Gerloff stated.

"After the winter tests and the first round at Phillip Island, we needed to analyse all the data to understand which direction to take, in order to make our bike more competitive.

"At Portimao we'll try to find a good base on which to build, before looking for the best set-up around this amazing, winding track. I've not stopped training and feel ready for this second round."
