John McPhee ends his 2024 World Supersport season early after parting ways with his team before the final race of the season.

On the morning of the final World Supersport race of the 2024 season, John McPhee announced that he would not be on the grid.

After finishing eighth on Saturday in Race One at Jerez the British rider has ended his 2024 season early. The #17 World Supersport rider has decided to part ways from the WRP by SKM-Triumph team with immediate effect.

McPhee put out a statement on his social media channels on Sunday morning explaining the situation. The statement reads:

"End of the 2024 season for me:

"After another strong weekend so far, being inside the top 10 in every session and a P8 in race one, it's a great shame to let you know that I won't compete in today's race two.

"After a meeting with my team last night the decision was made to part ways with immediate effect. I don't wish to comment further on the matter at this time.

"I'm happy with how I'm riding and believe as one door closes another will open. Just need to find that door now as I search for a ride in 2025. Thanks to everyone for your support as always!"
