Adrian Huertas sets a new lap record at Magny-Cours as he claims pole in World Supersport.

The Friday morning Practice session seemed positive for Yamaha at Magny-Cours. However, the Friday afternoon Superpole session saw World Supersport return to the usual order.

Securing pole position was the Championship leader, Adrian Huertas. The Spaniard may be Moto2 bound for 2025, but he wants to go to the MotoGP paddock as a WorldSSP Champion.

French fans will be overjoyed with Lucas Mahias starting from the front row. The GMT94 Yamaha rider will start from second place in Saturday's race.

Ducati also has riders starting from third and fourth place. Both Jorge Navarro and Yari Montella took their Panigale V2s to the end of the first row and the start of the second row.

Despite topping the opening session Stefano Manzi could not keep up with the Ducati's and Mahias. The Italian rider will start from fifth place in the Supersport races.

The top MV Agusta was the Italian Federico Caricasulo. The #64 will start from the back of the second row in sixth place.

The second French rider in the top ten was Valentin Debise. The Evan Bros WorldSSP Yamaha rider will start from seventh place at his home race.

The top Triumph rider and the top British rider was once again Tom Booth-Amos. The Brit will start from eighth place in the middle of the third row. Just behind Booth-Amos is the MV Agusta of Marcel Schroetter.

Completing the top ten is the EAB Racing Ducati of Niki Tuuli.
