"Maybe in Estoril, we will be Champion" - Toprak Razgatlioglu after Aragon WorldSBK Round

After nearly a month off his bike, Toprak Razgatlioglu stood on the podium three times at MotorLand Aragon.

Toprak Razgatlioglu returned from injury this weekend for the Aragon World Superbike round. The Turkish rider suffered serious injuries at Magny-Cours at the start of September. However, after only missing two rounds and six races Razgatlioglu was back on track.

Across the three races at MotorLand Aragon Razgatlioglu put his BMW on the podium in all three races. Razgatlioglu beat his Championship rival, Nicolo Bulega, in all three of the races, extending his Championship lead.

After racing for the first time in nearly a month Razgatlioglu gave an update on his physical condition after the weekend.

"I am in some pain, but it is muscle pain which is normal after one month of no training and riding," Razgatlioglu revealed. "The last race was very hard because the pace was very strong and every lap I was pushing harder. On the bike I feel good, I enjoyed the start of the race but I didn't enjoy the last laps.

"In general, my body is not so bad, but I need to do some training, especially after this weekend. For the next round I am feeling much better because every day I am feeling better and the feeling becomes better. In general, I am happy and I am ready for the next race."

After extending his Championship lead to 39 points Razgatlioglu has the chance to win the title at the next round in Estoril. The Turkish rider has not won at Estoril in World Superbikes and has set that as his target for the next round.

"Maybe in Estoril, we will be Champion, maybe not, we will see. I am just thinking 'win the race' because I love Estoril and with Yamaha, I did not win there. Now I am with BMW I need to win there because after many wins second place is difficult for me and I hope in Estoril we come back again."
