It’s a quiet morning at Los Angles County Raceway (LACR). The air is still, the sun has just risen and all is right with the world. Nothing could make it better—except for one thing. MXA test rider Brian Medeiros breaks the silence of the idyllic scene on a 2022 KTM 125SX two-stroke. At first the sound is faint, but as he gets closer, it begins to crackle and grow into what can best be described as a shriek. It’s just another day of testing at MXA, but on this day it’s a chance to see who can hold it on the longest, hit the whoops and hardest and fly the farthest…and, by being the first bike out on an empty track, the KTM 125SX gets to play morning reveille.
