Max Verstappen addresses heated Red Bull exchange

Max Verstappen has addressed the heated post-race exchange between his manager Raymond Vermeulen and Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko Following a poor Bahrain Grand Prix for Red Bull, Sky Sports F1 's pit-lane reporter Ted Kravitz witnessed Vermeulen remonstrating with Marko. Kravitz said: "At the end of the race, I was waiting around for some team principals, and Raymond Vermeulen, Max's manager, came into the Red Bull garage and gave Helmut Marko what can only be described as a piece of his mind. "He was then remonstrating with Helmut Marko, and Helmut Marko was just standing taking it. Raymond then stormed off at the back of the garage, taking his pass off as he went. Clearly, they are not happy." Verstappen finished the race at the Bahrain International Circuit in a disappointing sixth, primarily due to balance and brake woes with his car, and also following issues with Red Bull's 'traffic-light'. Ahead of this weekend's Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, an event Verstappen won by 13.6 seconds last season, he offered his views on what unfolded between Marko and his manager. When asked by RacingNews365 what was being discussed between Vermeulen and Marko, Verstappen replied: "I think, to my knowledge, they were having just a conversation about everything, which I think is allowed. "So now, if someone, of course, picks up on it, and people can always see it in their own way, right, how people are discussing things. "But I think we were all left frustrated with the result, and of course, the things that went wrong in in the race, and I think that's what my manager, Raymond and Helmut spoke about. "Even Christian [Horner] came along as well. So they all had a had a conversation, and yeah, I think that should be allowed. We all care at the end of the day. We care about the team, we care about the people. We care about results. I think that's quite normal."
