Ineos Automotive is a relative newcomer to the car world. It's the brainchild of billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who has a passion for adventure and found there just wasn't a vehicle up to his standards while he was off exploring in Africa. Ratcliffe leads one of the world's largest chemical companies, so the funds to start an automotive business were at the ready. So far, there is only the Grenadier SUV, which is already on the road in the US, and the Quartermaster, which is on its way soon. The brand sells its vehicles worldwide and is steadily expanding its dealer footprint in the US, but, according to Automotive News, it's running into a setback with a recall of more than 7,000 vehicles for doors that open unexpectedly.
