Ram Pickup Owners Warned About A Rare And Unusual Security Flaw

According to Detroit police, there's a crew of thieves in the area targeting Ram 1500s and other similar pickups to steal their infotainment systems out of the dashboard, along with anything else they happen to find. According to reports, thefts are happening on the west side of the city and residents are given the stupidly obvious advice to lock their vehicles and avoid leaving valuables visible through the windows. Other advice given is to keep exterior house lights on and monitor surveillance systems to help deter theft. What's curious, though, is that this kind of thing hasn't been much of a bother for quite some time now head units are built into the dashboards of vehicles at the factory.
