AARON PLESSINGER INTERVIEW: “I THINK I CAN REALLY DO SOME DAMAGE AND END UP WINNING”
The 2025 Monster Energy Supercross season has not started out the way Red Bull KTM’s Aaron Plessinger wanted; nor the way his fans expected. last year, Plessinger carried the red plate around this time, while this year he sits thirteenth in points. With his eighth-place finish and impressive heat race in Tampa, maybe we will see the cowboy begin to turn things around. We were able to catch up with the native Ohioan and hear his take on the 2025 Supercross.

AARON, YOU ARE RIDING AS BEST AS YOU HAVE, AND OUR FITNESS IS ON POINT. HOWEVER, LUCK HAS NOT BEEN KIND TO YOU. Yes, we have had some unfortunate luck but that is how the cookie crumbles sometimes. You just must get back up and push forward. I am really excited about being back east now. I had my best week of riding this past week. I am just going to put that all behind me leave the past in the past and try to come out like it is a new season.
Aaron Plessinger has struggled at the start of this season but showed moments of speed over the past few weekends.
THERE MAY HAVE BEEN SOME TEETHING PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW KTM IN 2024, IS THE BIKE DIALED IN WELL NOW? The Red Bull KTM Team has really put in the work and time in this and that is one thing that bums me out about my results, seeing them put this hard work in and me not get the results that they deserve. Yes, this bike is working awesome. I would not change a thing about it right now – I just need to execute.
WE HAD A TRIPLE CROWN MAIN IN GLENDALE THE OTHER WEEKEND, DID YOU PREPARE ANY DIFFERENTLY FOR THOSE? No not really. Especially since I have kind of missed the last two regular main events. I am just getting my laps in. I am just pounding my laps in and putting the twenty-minute motos in. I’m just focusing on having good days at the track and not really changing what I do during the week. Usually, going into a Triple Crown when everything is going perfect, you would do like three twelve lappers or something, three twelve minutes in the middle of the week just to get your body used to kind of stopping, going, stopping. That would be the regular schedule, but I am on a little different schedule since I missed finishing a couple of races.
Aaron grabbed his first 450-win in 2024 and is looking to get back on the box this season.
WITH ALL THE TRAVELING AND SICKNESS GOING ON, HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO STAY HEALTHY? I have been good. My immune system has been strong and we are still ticking off good.
ANY OTHER SIGNIFICANT CHANGES DURING THE OFF-SEASON? No, not really, I had a good off-season. I would like to say that I am in the best shape I have been in a while. I just need to go out and execute, man.
Deep breaths to get the nerves down before starting the race.
IN YOUR HEAT RACE IN TAMPA, YOU EXECUTED. Thanks, we found a good setting during the day. I got a good start and was able to capture second, and it felt good. In the main my start was okay, but I just couldn’t do much.
IF YOU GET A DECENT START, CAN YOU WIN ON ANY GIVEN WEEKEND? Yes, for sure. I think if I get a top three, or top five start, I think I can really do some damage and end up winning one of these things.
