Jef Janssen recovering from a stroke

This morning, we received the concerning news that Jef Janssen suffered a stroke five weeks ago.

Fortunately, Lynn Valk was with him at the time, allowing him to be taken to the hospital immediately. At that moment, Jef was unable to speak, had lost feeling on the right side of his body, and was experiencing motor function issues.

Thankfully, Jef is now on the road to recovery and making progress every day. However, due to this setback, he has had to step away from the Schmicker Racing KTM team. Last year, he had great success with the team, achieving strong results with his riders in both the World Championship and the ADAC MX Masters Series. While this is undoubtedly difficult for him, focusing on his recovery is the priority right now.

Despite this, he remains involved in coaching SuperEnduro star Jonny Walker.

Motocrossplanet wishes Jef a full recovery and hopes to see him back on the track soon!
