Jeffrey Herlings Recovering from Knee Injury
Yesterday at 07:32 AM
Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory team is recovering from a knee injury sustained during the second moto of the Dutch Nationals in Valkenswaard. Herlings was blinded by the sun as he approached a double jump, causing him to lose balance and put a foot down upon landing. He immediately felt something was wrong and went straight to the hospital for examination after the race.
Doctors determined that there was an issue with his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), which required surgery. Herlings is currently recovering but has already resumed physical training. He hopes to be fully healed in time for the start of the World Championship in Argentina on March 2.
Comment from PR Manager Sarah Greilinger on the Knee Injury:
"It is true that Jeffrey suffered a knee injury and underwent surgery after the race in Valkenswaard at the end of last season. Jeffrey is working hard on his recovery. The surgery went very well, and he's doing everything possible to be ready for the first MXGP in Argentina. If we have more news about his injury or Jeffrey Herlings' return to the bike, we will share it through our official channels."
