2025 ANAHEIM 1 SUPERCROSS PRE-RACE REPORT: POINTS, TV SCHEDULE & MORE

We have officially made it to the season opener of the 2025 Supercross series in Anaheim. Anaheim 1 is the first of two stops that will be coming to Anaheim where they will return just two weeks later. Returning this year is the most recent Supercross champion Jett Lawrence and the 2024 runner-up Cooper Webb. They will also battle the elements with riders like Chase Sexton, Hunter Lawrence, Eli Tomac and Aaron Plessinger. In the 250 class, we will see the West Coast division of riders which includes Haiden Deegan, Austin Forkner, Levi Kitchen, and Jo Shimoda as well as the rest of the field. For updates of the incoming race be sure to read down below.

ALL THE TALK

Haiden Deegan after grabbing a win in the 2024 Supercross series.

Haiden Deegan proved last year that he has what it takes to win a championship. Though some mistakes led to him not finishing first for the Supercross series in 2024 he was by far the most dominant rider in SMX and motocross. Because of his domination last year, riders like Levi Kitchen, Austin Forkner and Jo Shimoda have stepped up the program to give him a run for 2025. Heading into the start of the season expectations are running high for Haiden Deegan and it will be interesting to see if he can put it on the top step at Anaheim 1.

ALSO PUT IN THE WORK

Chase Sexton grabbing his first win in 2024.

Another rider who has put in a tremendous amount of effort into his off-season is Chase Sexton. Sexton is coming into this series more motivated than ever after a successful motocross and SMX final performance. Jett Lawrence was the most dominant rider in Supercross last year, but Chase has always been one of those riders to outwork his competition whether it’s on the track or in the gym. Though he will not be running the number one this season we expect the number four to find his way to the top step of the podium multiple times this season and put in a good effort for the championship.

2025 ANAHEIM 1 SUPERCROSS TRACK MAP

The first Anaheim looks to be a long technical course with many different passing opportunities. Notably one of the main factors of this year’s track is the split start. It will be interesting to see the distance between the rollers in the center and if riders will be jumping across the straight. Again the nine whoop rule is put in place as well as a sand corner which has been known to be challenging for the riders. Were set to go racing on what looks to be a great Anaheim 1
