The second round of MXGP in Cózar, Spain delivered an epic battle against the elements as riders faced one of the most challenging tracks ever. Heavy rain transformed the Spanish circuit into a treacherous mudfest that pushed both man and machine to their absolute limits.

Amidst the mud and mayhem, the next generation of motocross royalty emerged, making their mark despite the brutal conditions. MJC Yamaha Official EMX125's Jarne Bervoets, son of four-time World Championship runner-up Marnicq Bervoets, celebrated his 16th birthday in spectacular style by claiming his first-ever EMX125 round victory. The young Belgian mastered the challenging conditions aboard his GYTR kitted YZ125 to take the championship lead, continuing his family’s impressive legacy in racing.

The future of MXGP was further highlighted as Levi Townley, son of 2004 MX2 World Champion Ben Townley, fought through his European Championship debut, gaining valuable experience in some of the toughest conditions imaginable.

We caught up with both Marniq and Ben in the latest episode of Inside MXGP, which went behind-the-scenes at the MXGP of Castilla La Mancha, showing how the teams and riders dealt with these extreme conditions.
