ROCKSTAR ENERGY GASGAS FACTORY RACING'S RYDER DIFRANCESCO SIDELINED

INJURED WHILE TRAINING THIS WEEK AHEAD OF ANAHEIM 2 SUPERCROSS ROUND

An injury sustained in training on Thursday will unfortunately sideline Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing’s Ryder DiFrancesco ahead of this weekend’s Anaheim 2 round of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship.

  • Injury rules Ryder D out ahead of Anaheim 2 this weekend
  • Season on pause for Western Regional 250SX contender
  • Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing to focus on Justin Barcia

The 19-year-old Californian has been in impressive form during the opening two rounds of the season, finishing fourth at Anaheim 1 and then backing that up with a fifth-place result in San Diego last Saturday night.
Equipped with the GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition, those results currently have DiFrancesco sitting fifth in the 250SX West point-standings. Additional information on Ryder’s condition will be made available in due course, with an update to be provided once a possible return date is determined.

Sean Murphy, Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing Team Manager:“I am gutted that we share the news of Ryder D’s practice crash at RD Field yesterday. Ryder was immediately transported to the hospital, where he was evaluated for his injuries. In just his second year of racing Supercross, Ryder had been showing incredible potential and was making significant strides toward the podium. This setback early in the season is gut-wrenching, as Ryder was on an upward trajectory, improving with each round. Our rider’s safety and health will always be our top priority, and we will ensure that Ryder takes the necessary time to recover fully and come back stronger.”
Rockstar Energy GASGAS Factory Racing will be on-track and fully focused on 450SX entry Justin Barcia this Saturday, January 25, at Angel Stadium. ‘Bam Bam’ is ranked sixth in the championship following the opening two rounds, highlighted by a P6 result at Anaheim 1 two weeks ago.
