The first race of the American Supercross Championship was won by Chase Sexton and Jo Shimoda.

Sexton claimed victory in the 450 class final, finishing ahead of Ken Roczen and Jason Anderson. Cooper Webb secured fourth place. Eli Tomac initially took the lead but crashed during the first lap. Starting from last place, he fought his way back to a fifth-place finish.

Jett Lawrence went off the track at the start and had to begin a comeback race from the very back. The reigning champion had a tough race and could only manage a twelfth-place finish.

Jorge Prado grabbed the holeshot, rode a few laps in the top three, but then dropped back to seventh place. A crash in the whoops ultimately left him finishing in fourteenth.

In the 250 class, Jo Shimoda took the win ahead of Julien Beaumer and Jordon Smith. Haiden Deegan crashed at the start but fought his way back to an impressive fifth-place finish.
