Supercross Dortmund – American Michael Hicks wins opening night

The American Michael Hicks won the opening night of the ADAC Supercross in Dortmund. Hicks took the lead early in the final and built up a solid advantage. Greg Aranda held second place for much of the race but lost it to Jordi Tixier in the closing stages. Aranda finished third, followed by Ander Valentin and Adrien Escoffier.
Dean Wilson, competing in Dortmund for the first time, finished in eighth place.
The victory in the SX2 class went to young Frenchman Jules Pietre, ahead of Brandon Ray and Brice Maylin. Mathys Boisrame and Izaih Clark rounded out the top five.
