2024 Bowman Gray Stadium Weekly Series Champions to serve as Grand Marshals for the Cook Out Clash

NASCAR and Bowman Gray Stadium announced today that all four of the 2024 Bowman Gray Weekly Series Champions: Burt Myers, Zack Ore, Christian Joyce, and AJ Saunders, will serve as Grand Marshals for the Cook Out Clash on Sunday, Feb. 2. They will be joined by 8-year-old Roo Reaves, the 2023 NASCAR Youth Series presented by Cook Out National Champion.
"We‘re thrilled to be able to showcase the stars of our venue as Grand Marshals," said Jusin Swilling, Project Manager for the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. "Bowman Gray has a long and storied legacy of weekly racing here in Winston-Salem, and we look forward to honoring it with the track‘s top local talent in front of a national audience."
Burt Myers, the 2024 Brad‘s Golf Cars Modified Division Champion, has accumulated 98 wins at "The Madhouse" along with 11 track championships dating back to 1999. Myers will race in Sunday night‘s Cook Out Clash in the No. 50 Citrusafe Chevrolet for Team Amerivet in his Cup Series debut. He will also drive his famous No. 1 Modified in the Cook Out Madhouse Classic on Saturday.
The Law Offices of John Barrow Sportsman Division Champion Zack Ore is renowned as one of the most polarizing figures in the garage. Throughout his career, he has collected 25 wins at Bowman Gray Stadium and captured his illusive first Sportsman Division Championship last year after one of the closest points battles in the Stadium‘s history.
Christian Joyce, operating out his garage in Trinity, N.C, is the reigning QRC HVAC & Refrigeration Street Stock Series Champion. He started his career at Bowman Gray Stadium in 2016 racing in the Stadium Stock Series. He moved up into the Street Stock Series in 2018 and has been a consistent threat to win titles since. Joyce won his first Street Stock Championship in 2023 in a tight three-way points battle and backed it up with a dominating performance for the 2024 Series Championship.
AJ Sanders, the Q104.1 Stadium Stock Series Champion, stands firmly as the class of the series. With 43 years of racing experience, Sanders has amassed 63 wins since his debut at Bowman Gray Stadium in 2006 — the most in the division‘s history. He has also won five championships, with the 2024 championship being his third-in-a-row.
The Cook Out Clash on Feb. 2 will be the first NASCAR Cup Series Race at the iconic venue since 1971 and will be shown live on FOX. The event sold out in November, and only a limited number of seats remain for the Cook Out Madhouse Classic on Saturday. A ticket to Saturday‘s race will also include NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying as the 2025 season revs its engines in historic fashion.
Fans are encouraged to visit NASCARClash.com to secure remaining experiences and parking while supplies last. On-site parking for Sunday is sold out and only a limited number of on-site spots remain for Saturday. Thus, fans should act swiftly in securing both on-site and off-site parking for the event while supplies last. NASCAR has created off-site parking options at Innovation Quarter and Allegacy Stadium that include climate-controlled transportation to and from the event.
