SS-Greenlight Racing has filled out its driver roster for the upcoming 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Patrick Emerling will return to the team, as Alex Labbe and Nick Leitz both seek more races compared to their respective 2024 campaigns.
Emerling will pilot the No. 07 car in the season-opening United Rentals 250 at Daytona International Speedway next month. He piloted the No. 07 entry for the bulk of the 2024 season, ending the season with an average finish of 29.3 in 19 appearances. His best finish came in last year‘s season opener, placing 17th.
Labbe, a road course specialist, will do the heavy lifting on tracks with right and left turns. He made two starts for SS-Greenlight in 2024, with a best finish of 19th at Sonoma Raceway. He ended the season at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, earning a season-best 14th-place result for DGM Racing. Six of his 13 career top 10 finishes have come at road courses.
Still fresh to the NASCAR scene, Leitz made six Xfinity starts last season for DGM. His best finish was also a 17th-place effort in the spring race at Phoenix Raceway. Leitz has made seven career starts since making his series debut in 2023.
SS-Greenlight Racing is still working on each driver‘s schedule, but plans to enter each in roughly a third of the events each. Garrett Smithley was announced as the primary driver of the team‘s No. 14 car last month.
Paul Clapprood will return to SS-Greenlight Racing for a second season to crew chief the No. 07 car.
