2025 Blazer EV SS will pace the NASCAR Cup Series season opener

The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series is set to begin this weekend at Daytona International Speedway in Florida. Today, Chevrolet announced a 2025 Blazer EV SS will pace the field ahead of Sunday’s Daytona 500.

The Blazer EV SS is the fastest SS vehicle ever produced by Chevrolet. With 614hp, it powers from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.

Blazer EV’s are set to hit the market this quarter.

A Corvette Stingray will be the pace car for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race.

A Chevrolet Silverado RST will serve as the pace truck for Friday’s NASCAR Truck Series race.

Scott Bell comments

"Chevrolet has a long history with racing – it's in our DNA – and the Blazer EV SS is a testament to that," said Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet.

"We're excited for customers to watch the Blazer EV SS — the quickest SS we've ever produced — pace such an iconic race this weekend."
