Winter is upon us, but now is the perfect time to look back at the 2024 World Superbike Championship. BSN brings you our Top 10 World Superbike Riders of the Year.

Toprak Razgatlioglu made the bold decision to switch from Yamaha to BMW in 2024. A move that many believed was stupid, but he proved everyone wrong in his debut season with the German manufacturer.
It had been two years since Toprak Razgatlioglu won the 2021 World Superbike Championship when he decided to move from Yamaha to BMW.
After losing two titles in a row to Alvaro Bautista and Ducati a move to BMW gave Razgatlioglu everything he needed. The Turkish rider had been written off before the 2024 season had even begun.
But the 28-year-old did not listen to the outside noise and proved just how talented he really is.
Razgatlioglu ended his first year with the German manufacturer as the new World Superbike Championship. The #54 regained the #1 plate after winning 18 races and standing on nine further rostrums during the season.
During the season he claimed 527 points during the season and only failed to finish one race that he competed in. It seemed that Razgatlioglu's season had been jeopardized when he suffered a huge crash at Magny-Cours. Razgatlioglu missed six races, but still managed to win the title by 39 points.
In 2025 Razgatlioglu will remain with the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team for a second season. With ambitions to win a third world title, it seems like he could do the double, before potentially moving to MotoGP in 2026.
