Estoril WorldSBK, Race One Results | Razgatlioglu has one hand on the World Superbike Championship as he wins in Portugal

BMW and Toprak Razgatlioglu are well on their way to winning the World Superbike Championship as the Turkish rider wins in Estoril.

Toprak Razgatlioglu returns to winning ways in World Superbike after sustaining injuries at Magny-Cours. The Turkish rider has a real chance of winning his second World Superbike title on Sunday at Estoril after winning the opening race of the weekend.

Championship hopeful, Nicolo Bulega, might have lost his chance of winning the title in his rookie season. However, the Italian still sat second in the Championship after his teammate crashed and finished two laps down.

Honda returns to a World Superbike podium for the first time in the 2024 season. Iker Lecuona took his Honda CBR1000RR-R to the podium after a monumental rise throughout the race.

Just off the podium was Alex Lowes as he finished in fourth place on the Kawasaki ZX-10RR. Behind Lowes was his former teammate Jonathan Rea who battled his way to a fifth-place finish.

Garrett Gerloff had some amazing late-race pace as the Texan made his way through the order. The American rider finished the race in sixth place.

In seventh place was Michael van der Mark, the Dutch rider lost out on a battle with Gerloff in the latter laps of the race.

Team HRC had two riders inside the top ten as Xavi Vierge put his Honda in eighth place.

The top satellite rider in the opening race of the weekend was Andrea Iannone on the GoEleven Ducati.

The second Kawasaki rider inside the top ten was the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing rider of Tito Rabat in tenth place.

British riders Scott Redding, Sam Lowes, Bradley Ray and Tarran Mackenzie finished outside of the top ten in 12th, 12th, 16th and 18th places.
