'I'm disappointed with the weekend' - Bridewell completes a second WorldSBK wildcard

Tommy Bridewell was left disappointed after his second World Superbike wildcard of the 2024 season with Honda Racing UK.

Following a battle for the British Superbike championship one week ago, Honda Racing UK and Tommy Bridewell headed to the world stage.

The 2023 British Superbike Champion took part in his second World Superbike wildcard of the 2024 season. After competing in the Italian World Superbike round, Bridewell was back in the paddock for the 2024 season finale.

Bridewell's participation in the event enabled Honda Racing UK to continue learning with a different electronics package to BSB. The team aimed to gather data to provide to the wider Honda racing network.

Across the three races, Bridewell finished one race as he crossed the line in 20th in the Superpole Race. In Races One and Two Bridewell crashed out in the early laps.

"It's been a bit of a frustrating weekend for sure, but I've kept my head down and just kept working with the team to get through our program.

"I'm happy with the progress that we made over the weekend but in truth, I'm disappointed with the weekend and not finishing all three races.

"But look, we've learnt some new things as a team and improved the package a little bit more. The hard work isn't over yet as we've got another couple of days of testing this week."

The Honda Racing UK team will participate in a two-day test at Jerez, commencing Tuesday 22nd October.
