Scott Redding got his first taste of the new Seville Circuit as he began his preseason testing on a Ducati.
Across the last three years, Scott Redding has been a BMW World Superbike rider. However, for the 2025 season Redding will return to Ducati for the first time since 2021.
The British rider has had an eventful offseason as he became a father towards the end of the 2024 season. After some family time during his time off Redding was back out on track across the weekend on a Ducati Panigale V4 R.
The 32-year-old was out on track at the new Seville Circut and discussed his time at the venue:
"The track is mega," Redding said on social media. "I really enjoyed my time here. The track has got good grip, it's good fun, a lot of ups and downs, some areas where you need to control the wheelie and you've got some hard braking. For me, it is an all-in-one and it reminds me a little bit of Andalucia, but maybe a little bit easier to learn.
"It's really friendly on the tyres actually, I was quite surprised. The track was dirty the first day, and we chewed up a little bit but the last two days I've used two sets of tyres per day which is quite normal for me. Actually, I was getting more laps than I thought out of the tyre.
"The track is great, it's not a Grand Prix track but it is very good, one of the best training tracks that I've ridden."
In the 2025 season, Redding will ride for the MGM Bonovo Racing Team on a satellite Ducati. The British rider struggled throughout the 2023 and 2024 World Superbike seasons and has not stood on a podium since 2022.
