Alessandro Delbianco and Marvin Fritz will feature on the World Superbike (WorldSBK) grid at Cremona.

For the Italian World Superbike round this weekend at Cremona Yamaha has called up two Superbike veterans.

The GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team have had to get a replacement rider for the injured Dominique Aegerter. Then the Motoxracing Yamaha Team will run a second R1 this weekend as a test for a potential new rider in 2025.

After finishing second in the Endurance World Championship last weekend Marvin Fritz will ride for the GYTR GRT Yamaha squad at Cremona. The German rider has ridden for Yamaha in the Endurance World Championship since 2017 and will replace the injured Aegerter this weekend.

Fritz's last appearance in World Superbikes was in 2022 with the IXS – Yart – Yamaha Team at Portimao. However, he will be back on a Superbike for the inaugural weekend at Cremona.

Alessandro Delbianco is unavailable to the GYTR GRT Yamaha squad as he will be riding a Motoxracing machine. The Italian rider impressed at Magny-Cours as he scored points in two out of the three races. Delbianco is actively searching for a full-time return to WorldSBK after finishing second in the Italian Superbike Championship.

The 27-year-old has been negotiating with Motoxracing for the 2025 season and will get a test with the team this weekend.

It is yet unconfirmed whether Jonathan Rea will be declared fit for the Italian round this weekend.
