Ford has been busy with more patents lately, reportedly expanding on a previous idea to have removable, replaceable, totally customizable vehicle dashboard buttons that could be programmed for various uses. Two new patents show how the modular interface would work in a potential future production vehicle, with the system also accommodating an endless array of potential accessories, from inventory scanners for delivery vans to fully customizable switchgear.
