2024 F1 Las Vegas GP weather forecast: cold nights in Nevada

2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix: Weather Forecast and Event Overview

As the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix approaches, excitement is building for what promises to be another spectacular night race. Set for November 21-23, 2024, the event will see the world's best Formula 1 drivers battling it out on the iconic Las Vegas Strip Circuit. With the added twist of racing under the bright lights of the famous Las Vegas Boulevard, weather conditions will play an essential role in shaping the weekend.

The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix was a resounding success, with drivers praising the unique experience of racing in one of the most famous cities in the world. For 2024, expectations are high, and while the city's vibrant nightlife and entertainment scene set the stage, the weather will play a crucial role in how teams and drivers approach the weekend.

Late November weather in Las Vegas can be unpredictable, although it typically remains dry and relatively mild, especially compared to other venues during the F1 season. While Las Vegas is located in a desert region, which can bring cool nights and mild daytime temperatures, race teams will need to adapt to any sudden weather changes that could impact tire performance and car setups. Las Vegas at the end of November tends to experience mild daytime temperatures, usually ranging between 55°F (13°C) and 65°F (18°C). However, as the sun sets, temperatures drop significantly, sometimes falling to around 45°F (7°C) or lower. Humidity remains low, and rain is quite rare, with the city averaging less than 0.4 inches of rainfall during November.

Given that the Las Vegas GP is a night race, cooler evening temperatures could play a factor in tire performance, particularly in managing tire warming and degradation. Drivers will also have to be cautious about track conditions, as lower temperatures may reduce grip, especially during the evening sessions.

We've checked the weather forecast for the upcoming F1 Las Vegas GP weekend, which will take place on the streets of the iconic U.S. city.
