This year, Formula 1 has introduced a major novelty for the annual car launches. Here’s the complete pre-season 2025 schedule.
After a thrilling conclusion to the 2024 championship, which was decided on the final lap, Formula 1 gears up for an even more competitive 2025 season. McLaren will aim to defend its constructors' title, but Ferrari, bolstered by the arrival of Lewis Hamilton, is determined to reclaim glory after coming tantalizingly close last year. Red Bull and Mercedes, both featuring revamped driver line-ups, will also be eager to join the title fight.
The season kicks off at Albert Park, Melbourne, on the weekend of March 16, marking the start of a 24-race calendar that will take the F1 circus around the globe.
Before the official start of the season in Australia, fans can look forward to car launches and pre-season testing in Bahrain. The three-day testing session, from February 26 to February 28, will allow teams and drivers to get acquainted with their new machinery.
F1 2025 Launch Events: Collective Showcase and Ferrari's Exclusive Reveal
The week before testing will feature the highly anticipated car launch events. This year, Formula 1 introduces a collective livery unveiling for all teams. The event will take place in London on the evening of Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at The O2 arena. The two-hour show will showcase the liveries for the upcoming season, though it is unlikely that the final race-spec cars will be on display.
Ferrari, as expected, plans to reserve the unveiling of its actual 2025 car for a separate event. Alongside the London showcase, the Scuderia, led by Fred Vasseur, will host an exclusive launch for its Project 677 car in Maranello on Wednesday, February 19.
