British journalist confirms Monza will remain in Formula 1 for many more years

Last week, Formula 1 drivers competed at the *Temple of Speed* in Monza, giving life to the Italian Grand Prix on a completely renovated circuit. In the past months, the track in Italy was resurfaced, and some corners were also slightly modified.

However, these works are part of an even bigger project, with the ultimate goal of keeping Formula 1 in Italy for many more years. Stefano Domenicali, chief executiv officer of the category, also spoke about it, revealing how complicated it is for the country to confirm the Monza stage, in addition to that of Imola.

Journalist Joe Saward, in his latest blog post, revealed that, according to some sources, the renewal of Monza is now a done deal. The Briton writes: “In the coming weeks, we will see a series of announcements regarding the contract renewals of many circuits, including the Italian one in Monza. In addition to the Italian Grand Prix, the extension of the agreement between Formula 1 and Prince Albert II of Monaco to continue holding the Monte Carlo race is also expected.” – the journalist explained.

If Joe Saward’s report proves to be true, the coming weeks will be very important for the future of the Italian GPs, with Imola still in doubt. The latest rumors suggest a renewal until 2030. We just have to wait a little longer to find out what will happen with the stages in our beautiful country.
