Lewis Hamilton heads to Maranello
The marriage of the century, at least as far as Formula 1 is concerned, is about to take place. The news broke last February, and it's no coincidence that Lewis Hamilton's arrival at Ferrari and his rivalry with teammate Charles Leclerc has been continuously discussed for months. The topic reached a peak during the Abu Dhabi GP, which marked the end of Hamilton's career with Lewis Mercedes after 12 years filled with triumphs and mutual satisfaction. On the other hand, the Monegasque has never hidden the fact that he gets along particularly well with Sir Lewis and has intensified his relationship with his future teammate since the official announcement of Hamilton's move to Maranello.

Charles Leclerc has no doubts about Lewis Hamilton
Charles Leclerc discussed his future teammate in a lengthy interview with the English newspaper *The Telegraph*, praising Lewis Hamilton: "I believe the motivation Lewis will gain by joining a team like Ferrari will be incredible. He's still an exceptional driver, even though it's been a difficult season for Mercedes as a team. I think they had issues with the car and tried experimenting with setups, much like we did in the three races after Monaco. This obviously doesn't help the drivers and makes everything very, very challenging. Confidence is everything in Formula 1."

Lewis Hamilton's recent below-par results, therefore, don't concern Fred Vasseur or Charles Leclerc: "I have no doubt that I will face the best Lewis Hamilton, and it will be an extremely tough challenge. His qualifying performances? I don't know what's going on, and of course, I can only see the results. However, it's very hard for me to judge a situation when I don't know what's happening behind the scenes. I have no doubts about Lewis's abilities and his talent." – the Monegasque driver pointed out.

"I'm excited," Charles Leclerc concluded, "in fact, I think everyone on the team is. Ferrari is already very big, and of course, having an F1 legend like Lewis join will bring even more attention to a team that probably already has the most spotlight in the paddock. For my part, though, the best thing I can do is focus on my work and try to do my best. As I said, I have a lot of respect for Lewis, and I know it won't be easy (to compete with him). But I'm very motivated precisely because of that." – the Ferrari man concluded.
