At the checkered flag in Nevada, Ferrari’s number 16 had to settle for a fourth-place finish that left him dissatisfied. In an interview with Sky Sport F1, Charles Leclerc analyzed the Las Vegas GP post-race. From an excellent start to the attack on George Russell that might have compromised his race, and finally to criticism directed at Carlos Sainz, here are his statements.

Charles Leclerc’s Interview After the Las Vegas GP:
“I tried to be as aggressive as possible at the start with George Russell, and I paid the price for that risk. I don't regret it in the end because the data shows that we lost a lot in the first stint. In the second and third stints, however, we were possibly the fastest team.” – the Monegasque driver pointed out – The medium tires really caused us trouble today at the start of the race! The main issue was that I didn't get any warning from the tires before they degraded so much.”

Charles Leclerc then chose not to stir controversy over Carlos Sainz's behavior:

“I won't go into detail. I'm not happy because there are things we share as teammates, and today things went differently. In the end, we finished third and fourth, which doesn't change anything for the team, but for the drivers' championship, I'm disappointed. I'm fighting with Norris for second place, and this result doesn't help.

I know I need to rely on myself,” Charles Leclerc concluded at the end of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, “from now on. I need to improve in qualifying and be perfect in everything to catch up with Lando in the championship.”

To achieve this, Charles Leclerc will need to make the most of the last two races remaining. The next event is in Qatar in a week, where it will be determined whether the Monegasque's pursuit of second place is truly feasible. But above all, to see if Ferrari can genuinely compete for the 2024 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship.
