The ‘mini championship’
After the Belgian Grand Prix on July 28, Formula 1 entered its traditional summer break, with drivers returning to action for the Dutch Grand Prix weekend from August 23-25.

The season was thus virtually divided into 14 races before and 10 after the break. From the championship’s restart to the end of the season, it was Charles Leclerc who scored the most points.

The Monegasque driver for Ferrari collected 179 points, ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris (175), reigning world champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull (160), and Mercedes’ George Russell (129).

Charles Leclerc, however, was not the driver with the most wins after the summer break, securing 2 victories (Italy and Austin) compared to Lando Norris's 3 (Netherlands, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi).

Sergio Perez’s performance remained dismal, with just 21 points scored after the break—15 fewer than Alpine’s Pierre Gasly and only 2 more than Nico Hulkenberg of Haas.
