The 2025 Ferrari could be a championship contender: recent performances and the arrival of Lewis Hamilton to Frederic Vasseur's team make Christian Horner consider Ferrari among the favorites for the next championship.

The major efforts initiated by Frédéric Vasseur at Maranello are starting to pay off. In the final rounds of 2024, the Prancing Horse is showing itself to be a more solid, competitive, and consistent team, capable of capitalizing on big opportunities and even aiming for a constructors' title victory at the last moment.

After reorganizing the team structure and securing the talent and experience of Lewis Hamilton, Frederic Vasseur has prepared a Ferrari for 2025 that reflects his own vision. The arrival of the seven-time Formula 1 champion from Mercedes represents a major coup, not only in media terms; Sir Lewis will be a formidable opponent in the drivers' championship battle. One of Hamilton's recent rivals, Christian Horner, is convinced of this.

The British team principal of Red Bull has a particular feeling about the coming year. Speaking to Talksport, Christian Horner expressed both curiosity and a bit of intimidation about the British champion's arrival at Maranello. The Red Bull team leader analyzed #44's situation: "He's leaving an environment that has been his comfort zone. Mercedes is a setting he's known well for over ten years. It's going to be a big change for him." – the Red Bull team principal pointed out.

"Hamilton at Ferrari at the Right Moment"
However, according to Christian Horner, the change won't be a disadvantage. Even though Lewis Hamilton "will find a very fast driver in Charles Leclerc," he believes the Brit will fit in well in Emilia Romagna.

Horner feels Lewis Hamilton will be a key player in the fight for the top: "A driver of his caliber will always be a formidable opponent. Ferrari is a team that seems to be gaining strength. Lewis may have arrived (at Ferrari) at just the right moment. He has observed certain things that led him to choose a change of team and believe in Ferrari's future. It will be fascinating to see what happens," concluded the Milton Keynes team principal.
