Everyone wants in Formula 1: latest request comes from Central America

For Stefano Domenicali, it certainly won't be easy to determine which circuits will be part of the calendar for the upcoming Formula One seasons. The requests to host an F1 GP are increasing, as after Rwanda and Korea, even Panama wants to see the cars speeding through its streets.

Currently, there are 24 races on the calendar, but this number could easily grow. The countries where the Circus could stop in the future are increasing, and this will force Domenicali and Liberty Media to make a choice.

Most likely, as confirmed by the number one of the Formula 1 group, there will be a rotation of some races with a calendar that will vary from year to year to allow everyone to witness the Circus spectacle up close.

The latest request comes from America
After those received from Rwanda and Korea, the latest request came from America. This was stated by Pablo Otero, the head of the Panama Autodrome, to the Spanish agency EFE. “We are working to obtain third-level certification from the FIA. This way, we could host all categories, including F1,” Pablo Otero said.

“For now, it's just a dream since it's a project that involves the entire nation. Furthermore, it takes between five and ten years to obtain certification. The track will be completely different from now. Our goal is to host as many events as possible, especially at the international level,” Pablo Otero added.

A project that will therefore take time but could bring the American continent to host yet another Grand Prix of a Formula 1 increasingly tied to the stars and stripes.
