F1 moves to Brazil for the third consecutive GP on American soil: let’s take a look at the Pirelli preview.

The Interlagos track is ready to host the 47th edition of the Brazilian GP, which is, as always, preceded by the Pirelli preview. For the 21st round of the 2024 World Championship, the selected compounds are: C3 (Hard), C4 (Medium), and C5 (Soft).

This weekend will be an unknown for the public and for all the teams on track, mainly due to the difference in tires compared to last year's event. This weekend, Pirelli has brought the softest compounds available to Interlagos, whereas in 2023, the selection was C2, C3, and C4.

In addition to the change in tire compounds, the Interlagos track has been completely resurfaced. This could help reduce lap times but also increase the stress on the tires. We await the start of on-track activity to gain insights into the new track surface.

Another factor adding unpredictability to the Brazilian weekend is the format. At Interlagos, ever since its introduction in 2021, the Sprint race takes place annually. This means drivers will have only one hour of free practice to familiarize themselves with the track and attempt to address questions regarding the new compounds and their behavior on the renewed track surface.

As for the strategy for Sunday, Pirelli notes that last year the best choice was to split the race into three stints, with the Soft and Medium compounds playing a key role. This year's new tire selection will allow for greater strategic variety.

Scuderia Ferrari arrives at Interlagos after two excellent weekends in the United States Grand Prix at the Austin circuit in Texas and in the Mexico City Grand Prix. Will they be able to adapt quickly to the track and bring home their third consecutive victory, as well as their sixth of the season?
